(IHOH) is deeply devoted to offering a diverse range of resources, including nutrition, camps, mentorship, educational opportunities, arts opportunities and scholarships, with a particular focus on serving youth and their families.
Inspiration for Isaiah’s House of Hope, Inc. draws from the challenges faced by parents during early parenthood. Financial Literacy & Scholarships
From its inception, IHOH has embarked on a transformative journey with a strong focus on financial literacy. In 2022, our organization orchestrated a series of workshops led by seasoned professionals from diverse industries. These workshops provided valuable guidance and opportunities for youth participants, including scholarships for career pathways.
Throughout the year, IHOH hosted monthly workshops tailored to the unique needs of middle school and high school students and separate sessions designed specifically for children aged 11 and under. This financial literacy program is ongoing today and is carefully crafted to equip participants with the essential skills necessary to make informed decisions and pave a path toward a secure financial future, encompassing critical areas such as higher education, housing, and employment. The overarching goal of the Pathway to Prosperity Financial Literacy Program is to empower youth with comprehensive financial literacy education, equipping them with essential knowledge, skills, and support, resulting in improved financial decision-making, increased savings rates, and lifelong financial well-being.
Day Camps
IHOH also offers day camps that cover a wide range of interests, including art, robotics, coding, dance, and sports. These camps provide opportunities for youth to explore their passions, develop new skills, and foster a sense of creativity and teamwork.
Through our diverse camp programs, we offer young minds the chance to explore various fields, nurturing their interests and talents. From art and robotics to coding, dance, and sports, our camps inspire creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. We believe in empowering children to discover their passions and unlock their potential.
Education
Our organization is dedicated to educating families on various essential topics to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Through workshops and one-on-one sessions, we provide guidance with interview skills, job preparedness, computer skills, nutrition, spirituality, self-esteem, and addressing depression/anxiety.
Education is a key component of our efforts to empower families and individuals. We offer workshops and training sessions that cover important life skills, including financial literacy, interview preparation, job readiness, computer skills, nutrition, spirituality, self-esteem, and coping with depression/anxiety. Equipping individuals with these vital skills enhances their ability to lead fulfilling lives.
Food Pantry
Recognizing the food disparities, such as food swamps and deserts in Prince George’s County and Washington, DC, IHOH addresses food insecurity through our Nutritional Justice Program. This program includes the development of a Community Urban Garden, educational workshops on growing produce and the benefits of healthy eating, and distributing food to families in need.
Mentorship
Our mentors provide workshops and community service activities for young individuals, focusing on college/trade school applications, financial literacy, bank account management, saving strategies, investment knowledge, and building generational wealth. These initiatives foster personal growth, resilience, and the development of vital life skills for anyone involved in mentorship through Isaiah’s House of Hope, Inc.
Isaiah’s House of Hope, Inc. believes that allowing a child to follow their passion, will lead them to their purpose which will one day turn into their profession. Pairing your passion with financial literacy and mentorship, will allow them to reach their goals. We teach that long term and short term goal planning is essential for a youth to reach their dreams.
